JSFL PRESENTS'
ABOUT US
Greetings,
It is our pleasure to introduce you to The Justice Project of South Florida (JPSFL), which has a rich history of creating "pacts" with law enforcement agencies, social service providers, clergy, businesses, community members, academic institutions, and representatives from the local, state, and federal government.
JPSFL was created in 2015 to serve as a vessel to facilitate meaningful and positive interactions between law enforcement and underserved communities, using restorative justice practices as a framework for dialogue. This call to action was a result of a community event that addressed the increased tensions between law enforcement and local communities of South Florida. Based on the feedback from the attendees, it was evident that local issues mirrored the problems surrounding a diminished relations between police and communities across the country.
